Sewing projects
I'm in love with the quilt I made the girls. We use it for playtime on the floor, reading books and having pretend picnics.
I also made this princess Anna inspired cape. Pretty easy.

Winter is finally over....I think
Sewing
- I finished a quilt and I love how it turned out, I'm planning on starting 3 more quilts all child sized.
- I made my little toddler an Anna (from Frozen) inspired cape, which I think came out really cute but since I've made it she doesn't seem to be that into it. :(
- I deconstructed 2 knit dresses that I wasn't that into anymore and I'm going to put new bottoms on the top pieces that I kept intact. I'm going to use the bottom portion to make my daughter summer dresses or nightgowns-undecided.
- Dolls...I have what I think is a great idea for some dolls but I really need to spend some time refining the patterns and creating some samples.
- I have been making bracelets, lots of them.
- I want to make some necklaces ...tbd
- I'm totally into watercolors lately and I want to get better, so there's been a lot of late night practicing and perusing of images on Google of paintings.
- I've been trying to use my Diana F+ camera more and I have to get some rolls developed
- Designing fabric patterns... I have too many ideas.
- I am in the middle of putting together some binders.
- One is a family binder with info that we need about school and drs and apt complex, it has a section for home ideas, vacation ideas and meal plans (which I do not seem that great at meal planning, oh well - we can talk about that some other time).
- Second one is all recipes, ones clipped from magazines or printed from the web.
- Third one is for all of my artistic projects and sewing/crocheting/knitting project patterns.
- I finally got to separating and organizing my fabric and other crafting/artsy supplies into my new space.
- I know I just said I'm not that great at meal planning but I have been doing a weekly mean guide that has been helpful for getting through the work week. I say guide because some nights even though I planned a meal on paper we decide that we really don't feel like that particular one planned or we have more leftovers than anticipated so we'll switch it up last minute. So it's more of a suggestion then inflexible plan.
- Mutu. I had my second baby in February and I needed to start exercising and getting that belly back into shape so I am starting an exercise program called Mutu. I had a set back with the sicknesses but I'm getting back into the exercise routine.
- I would like to say that I am reading some books that are on my book list but really all I've been reading are kid books. Someday I'll start up reading again, I have so many that I want to get through. My last one was right before I had Emily, I read the Tina Fey book Bossypants - it was not my usual genre (usually sci fi) but funny and fast.

New beginnings
In the last six months there have been lots of changes. I switched jobs, my husband got a new job across the country (and left two weeks later!), I packed up the apt, the two year old and cat, celebrated her 2nd birthday, shipped the car, moved 3000 miles, had thanksgiving/Hanukkah/Christmas/New years, and had a baby (who will be 4 weeks old Tues). There were many colds from daycare, trips to drs and unpacking boxes thrown in for good measure. Oh and working full-time.
Now that we are pretty settled in sunny California I feel like my life can start again.

It's September :- /
I have missed a lot of months on this blog. Life was too hectic and depressing. We are still living in flux but hope I can get back to posting more.
